Mycoplasma hominis

The Mycoplasma Hominis Reagent Kit is designed for the qualitative detection of Mycoplasma hominis DNA (the causative agent of mycoplasma infection) using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) with real-time fluorescence detection of amplification results.

This reagent kit is used for the clinical laboratory diagnosis of mycoplasma infection caused by Mycoplasma genitalium. Mycoplasma genitalium is a gram-negative microorganism that primarily infects the genitourinary system, where it parasitizes by attaching to epithelial cells.

Swabs from the human urogenital tract are used for testing.
