Determination of Helicobacter pylori susceptibility

The Alphalab reagent kit uses PCR to detect mutations in the Helicobacter pylori genome that determine resistance to clarithromycin, to select effective therapy.

A reagent kit for determining the susceptibility of Helicobacter pylori to clarithromycin therapy using the polymerase chain reaction method. The fluorescence detection mode in real-time results mode is designed to identify the A2142G, A2143G, and T2717C variants in the Helicobacter pylori genome, which contribute to its resistance to clarithromycin therapy.

The test material consists of DNA fragments isolated from biopsy material obtained during endoscopic treatment of the stomach.

The kits recommended for use with samples contain Helicobacter pylori.

The polymerase chain reaction is monitored by amplification of a fragment of the human β-globin gene.
